Work out exactly what you owe on your salary — and what actually reaches your pocket.
Income Tax Calculator Pakistan computes salaried income tax for eleven tax years, from 2016-17 right through to 2026-27, using the slabs set out in Pakistan's Finance Acts. Enter your salary and the answer appears as you type. No sign-up, no internet needed.
WHAT YOU GET
• Tax due, take-home pay and your effective tax rate, instantly • Annual and monthly figures side by side • A monthly breakdown you can check against your payslip — gross, tax deducted, net pay • Your tax bracket shown visually, with marginal rate and effective rate separated • The full working, so you can see the sum behind the number • Surcharge applied automatically for the years that charge it • Complete rate card for every year, with the applicable band highlighted
COMPARE ACROSS YEARS
The 2026-27 rates restructured the salary slabs and removed the surcharge. See what the same salary would have cost under any earlier year, or compare all eleven at once.
PLAN AHEAD
Thinking about a pay rise? See how much of it survives tax before you negotiate. A 10% raise is not a 10% increase in take-home pay, and the app shows you the difference.
TAX YEARS COVERED
2026-27 (tax year 2027), 2025-26, 2024-25, 2023-24, 2022-23, 2021-22, 2020-21, 2019-20, 2018-19, 2017-18 and 2016-17.
HOW THE CALCULATION WORKS
Pakistan taxes salaried income in bands. Each band applies only to the portion of income that falls inside it, which is why your top band rate is almost never the rate you actually pay overall. The app separates the two: your marginal rate (the rate on your next rupee) and your effective rate (total income tax divided by total income). It also prints the arithmetic — the fixed amount for your band plus the percentage on the excess — so nothing is hidden behind a single number.
BUILT FOR PAKISTAN
• All amounts in PKR • Full English and Urdu interface, with proper right-to-left layout • Works completely offline — rates are built into the app • Save past calculations and share any result
WHO IT IS FOR
Salaried employees checking an income tax deduction on a payslip, comparing job offers, planning a salary negotiation, or working out what a raise is really worth. Also useful for HR and payroll staff who need a quick monthly withholding figure.
